Why does a contact fail to update, with the values reverting back to their original state after an attempt to update them?

Syncback logs of the application show:

Error: Conflict matching the client and server object.

From 2.2.3.177.17 Status (Sync) guide, 7 means the following:

7 Conflict matching the client and server object. The client has changed an item for which the conflict policy indicates that the server's changes take precedence. Item If it is necessary, inform the user that the change they made to the item has been overwritten by a server change.

Meaning: Conflict matching the client and server object.

Cause: The client has changed an item for which the conflict policy indicates that the server's changes take precedence.

Resolution: If it is necessary, inform the user that the change they made to the item has been overwritten by a server change. This is typically caused by client side applications, on the mail server / client or browser that manage contacts.
